ANIMAL INN has had the happy experience of caring for many fascinating pets in addition to dogs and cats.  We have taken care of birds of numerous varieties, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, some reptiles, and several potbellied pigs.

Except for potbellied pigs, most of the pets need a special environment.  We request that you please supply a secure and suitable enclosure for your pet, plus special food appropriate for the species.  Potbellied pigs have always made themselves very much at home in our largest suites for dogs.

Care and feeding are described below:

FEEDING & MEDICATION
All pets are fed the type of food and the number of meals to which they are accustomed at home. Medications are administered between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., free of charge

DAILY INSPECTION
Each pet is carefully checked numerous times daily for general behavior, eating habits, activity level, elimination, attitude, etc., by our heavily experienced staff. Immediate action is taken if any health problem is noted.

VETERINARY SERVICES
We make every effort to contact your veterinarian should the need arise, since he or she knows your pet and has the appropriate medical records. If your veterinarian is unavailable, we contact one of several that are available to us on a 24-hour basis.

CHECKING ON YOUR PET
We have an 800 number which you may use to check on your pet when you are away. The toll-free number is 1-800-688-PETM; that is, 1-800-688-7386. This number is available everywhere except within local area codes 713 and 281.
