ANIMAL INN has had the happy experience of caring for many fascinating pets in addition to dogs and cats.  We have taken care of birds of numerous varieties, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, and several potbellied pigs. Except for potbellied pigs, most of the pets need a special environment.  We request that you please supply a secure and suitable enclosure for your pet, plus special food and bedding appropriate for the species.  Potbellied pigs have always made themselves very much at home in our largest suites for dogs. FEEDING & MEDICATION All pets are fed up to 2 meals per day. Medications are administered between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., free of charge DAILY INSPECTION Each pet is carefully checked two times daily for general behavior, eating habits, activity level, elimination, attitude, etc., by our experienced staff. Immediate action is taken if any health problem is noted. VETERINARY SERVICES We make every effort to contact your veterinarian should the need arise, since he or she knows your pet and has the appropriate medical records. If your veterinarian is unavailable or is more than 10 miles away, we will contact one of several that are available to us on a 24-hour basis. CHECKING ON YOUR PET We have an 800 number which you may use to check on your pet when you are away. The toll-free number is 1-800-688-PETM; that is, 1-800-688-7386.
